I often see Dog Rose, blooming in the hedgerows near to where I live. There's something lovely about seeing them scramble through the greenery. Unlike the real thing these blooms are not thorny so there will be no scratches.
On a side note, apparently the Dog Roe was so named in the belief that if a person was bitten by a mad dog a medicine could be made from the root to cure the unlucky person!
Each piece of glass is hand cut, ground and then copperfoiled. The flower is also painted with traditional glass paint and fired in my kiln for permanence.
